India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri raised concerns about attacks on minorities, particularly Hindus, during discussions with Bangladesh’s leadership and officials in Dhaka on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Misri emphasized the importance of a positive and constructive relationship between the two nations while expressing India’s concerns regarding the safety and welfare of minority communities in Bangladesh.
“We discussed regrettable incidents of attacks on cultural and religious properties,” Misri said, adding that the dialogue provided an opportunity to review bilateral ties.
