New Delhi [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC) as a “historic initiative” aimed at fostering regional connectivity and prosperity during his meeting with United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), PM Modi extended warm wishes to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressed satisfaction with the increasing high-level visits and exchanges between the two nations. He highlighted the significance of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to India in September 2024, marking a generational continuity in bilateral relations.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on technology, energy, and people-to-people ties. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed shared the UAE’s perspective on the prevailing situation in West Asia, while PM Modi reiterated India’s dedication to supporting long-term peace, stability, and security in the region.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for ensuring the welfare of the large and vibrant Indian community residing in the UAE.
Later, PM Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to underscore the shared vision of peace and collaboration:

The UAE Deputy Prime Minister arrived in New Delhi on Thursday to participate in the 4th Strategic Dialogue and the 15th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting.
