India Launches Global Parliamentary Outreach To Expose Pakistan’s Terror Links Post-Operation Sindoor

In a landmark diplomatic move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated the formation of multi-party parliamentary delegations to travel across the world and present India’s official stance on Operation Sindoor and Pakistan’s support for terrorism, according to NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule.

Sule, addressing the media on Saturday, revealed that she had been invited to join one of the eight such committees by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.

“Yesterday, I got a call from Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who asked me to be a part of one of these committees. It is very clear that when it is a question of our nation, we are all together, and we go to other countries to put forth our country’s view,” she said.

Committees to Begin Global Tour from May 23

According to sources, around 40 MPs from multiple political parties will be divided into seven to eight groups, each comprising five members. These delegations are expected to tour five to eight countries over a 10-day period, beginning May 23 or 24.

The initiative marks the first time India has deputed cross-party Members of Parliament to take part in a unified diplomatic campaign aimed at exposing Pakistan’s global terror infrastructure and justifying India’s retaliatory strikes carried out under Operation Sindoor.

Destinations Include Global Powers and Strategic Allies

The MPs are likely to visit key world capitals including:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • United Arab Emirates
  • South Africa
  • Japan

This diplomatic offensive is being coordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, with Kiren Rijiju spearheading the organizational efforts.

An official from the MEA will accompany each team to help with briefings and fact-sharing.

Opposition MPs Included for Bipartisan Representation

In a noteworthy gesture of national unity, several prominent opposition MPs are expected to join the campaign. Among those reportedly invited are:

  • Manish Tewari (Congress)
  • Shashi Tharoor (Congress)
  • Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena UBT)
  • Sasmit Patra (BJD)
  • Sanjay Jha (JDU)
  • Salman Khurshid (Congress, former EAM)
  • Aparajita Sarangi (BJP)

The inclusion of diverse political voices aims to project a unified Indian perspective on the international stage, strengthening India’s credibility and soft power.

India’s Narrative: From Victimhood to Assertion

The global outreach is being seen as part of India’s aggressive diplomatic narrative in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, including a Nepali national.

In retaliation, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, conducting precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). These strikes reportedly eliminated over 100 terrorists, targeting strategic locations such as Bhawalpur (headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed) and Muridke (Lashkar-e-Taiba’s training base).

Conclusion

India’s decision to send parliamentary delegations abroad represents a new chapter in strategic diplomacy, combining hard military responses with robust international engagement. By involving leaders across party lines, the government aims to build global consensus against terrorism emanating from Pakistan and ensure that India’s right to self-defense is well-understood and respected across the world.
