Amid escalating border tensions, Pakistan has begun mobilizing its troops toward forward positions, signaling potential offensive intentions, according to Indian defence officials. Addressing the media on Saturday, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh confirmed the troop movement and emphasized that while India has effectively countered all hostile actions, it remains committed to de-escalation—provided Pakistan shows reciprocal restraint.
“The Pakistan Army’s forward movement indicates an offensive intent. Our armed forces are at a high state of operational readiness. We’ve responded proportionately to every provocation and remain committed to non-escalation, if Pakistan cooperates,” Singh stated.
In a recent precision strike, India targeted only identified military locations. Singh also dismissed Pakistan’s misinformation campaign, which falsely claimed the destruction of Indian S-400 systems and airfields, calling the assertions “baseless.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan launched Byker YIHA III Kamikaze drones targeting civilian areas in Amritsar, Punjab. Indian Army Air Defence neutralized the threat by destroying the drones mid-air around 5 a.m. on Saturday, as per defence sources.
Additional tensions flared with the discovery of projectile debris in Rajasthan’s Barmer district, indicating continued Pakistani aggression. In retaliation, India reportedly struck four Pakistani airbases in the early hours of Saturday after Pakistan attacked 26 locations across India. Intermittent firing continues along the Line of Control.
These developments follow India’s Operation Sindoor, during which nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were targeted in response to the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
