All-party delegation reiterates India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and clarifies bilateral nature of the ceasefire
Manama [Bahrain], May 25: As part of India’s global outreach following Operation Sindoor, BJP MP Baijayant Panda, who leads the all-party delegation to Bahrain, declared that India has firmly called Pakistan’s “nuclear bluff” and will not be cowed into submission by threats of nuclear escalation.
Addressing prominent personalities in Bahrain, Panda said, “We will no longer be blackmailed by their nuclear bluff… We can and will retaliate. Our intention is not hostility, but to extract the cost to deter them. Things will never go anywhere close to being nuclear.”
Panda expressed gratitude to the Bahrain government for its consistent support of India and its condemnation of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. “Bahrain and India have deep and long-standing relations… We are here at a difficult time. In the Pahalgam terror attack, 26 people were killed after verifying their religion in front of their wives and children. India has faced many such horrific attacks, coordinated from one neighbour to our west,” he said.
He underscored that India’s new doctrine leaves no room for nuclear intimidation. “Our problem is that all terror attacks are coordinated from one neighbour to our west… Our new doctrine is clear: we have called Pakistan’s nuclear bluff, and we will not be blackmailed by it.”
Responding to US President Trump’s claim of mediating the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Panda reiterated India’s consistent stance on third-party involvement. “Many nations and leaders have taken a stand that they intervened, but let’s be clear—this is a bilateral issue. The ceasefire was agreed only when Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations called India to say they wanted a ceasefire. We said: you stop shooting, we stop shooting,” Panda explained.
The all-party delegation includes Nishikant Dubey (BJP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP), Rekha Sharma (BJP), AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Ambassador Harsh Shringla. Their mission is to engage leaders in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria to highlight India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism and counter global misinformation in the wake of Operation Sindoor.
