New Delhi [India]: The 55th Director General Level Border Coordination Conference between India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Bangladesh’s Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) commenced in New Delhi on February 17, 2025. The four-day conference, running until February 20, aims to strengthen border security cooperation and address key challenges along the India-Bangladesh border.
According to a BSF press release, the conference will focus on:
✅ Border-related issues
✅ Improved coordination between forces
✅ Developmental and infrastructural projects
✅ Joint implementation of the Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP)
✅ Confidence-Building Measures (CBM)
High-Level Delegation Talks
The BSF delegation is led by Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General of BSF, while the BGB delegation is headed by Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, OSP, BSP, SUP, BGBM, ndc, psc, M Phil, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh.
The conference will conclude on February 20 with the signing of the Joint Record of Discussions at the BSF Force Headquarters, Lodhi Road, Delhi.

On Monday, BSF chief Daljit Singh Chawdhary welcomed Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui and his delegation at IGI Airport, New Delhi.
