India participated in the inaugural Board of Peace meeting as an observer, reaffirming support for US-led initiatives for peace in Gaza, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India welcomed both the Donald Trump–backed Gaza Peace Plan and the ongoing efforts under UNSC Resolution 2803, which endorses the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” adopted on September 29, 2025.

- The Board of Peace, proposed by Donald Trump, aims to strengthen international conflict resolution and oversee United Nations operations to ensure effective functioning.
- Trump announced a USD 10 billion contribution from the US for the Board’s mission, focusing initially on reconstruction and relief efforts in the Gaza Strip.
- Other nations, including Kazakhstan, UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait, pledged over USD 7 billion for Gaza relief, while countries like Indonesia, Morocco, Albania, Kosovo, and Kazakhstan committed troops and police personnel to help stabilise the region. Egypt and Jordan provided additional support, including training and assistance for a “trustworthy Palestinian police force.”
