INDIA Alliance Finalizes Monsoon Session Strategy Focused On Pahalgam Attack, Trump’s Remarks, And Operation Sindoor

New Delhi [India], July 21: Ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament starting July 21, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari revealed that the INDIA alliance has finalized a comprehensive strategy targeting the BJP-led government over key national and international issues. The bloc plans to raise concerns around the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and recent statements by US President Donald Trump, among others.

Speaking to ANI, Tiwari said the strategy was crafted during the INDIA bloc meeting held on July 19, in what he described as a “joint effort in a conducive environment.” He accused the BJP-NDA government of leading the country into crises that threaten its democracy, economy, and global standing.

One of the most pressing issues, according to Tiwari, is the Pahalgam terror attack, where no trace of the attackers has been found so far. He also expressed deep concern over Trump’s repeated claims—most recently that five fighter jets were shot down—relating to Operation Sindoor, a claim echoed by the US defence attaché and India’s Chief of Defence Staff.

Tiwari further raised alarm over alleged democratic backsliding, especially in Bihar, citing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise as an example. He said, “Democracy is being murdered in Bihar.” He also criticized India’s foreign policy, claiming the country is becoming increasingly isolated on the world stage.

The INDIA alliance will also focus on domestic issues, including crimes against SCs, STs, women, and minorities, and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Tiwari emphasized that eight key issues have been identified, and the alliance is confident of the support of all 24 member parties, along with potential backing from other non-aligned parties.
