New Delhi [India], May 25: Cyclonic circulations over western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have created favourable conditions for thunderstorms and gusty winds across Delhi, according to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) scientist Akhil Srivastava.
Speaking to ANI, Srivastava said, “There is a possibility of rain in Delhi today… Western disturbance is still centred in its place. Cyclonic circulations over western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are conducive for thunderstorm activity. Our forecast predicts thunderstorms, gusty winds at 30–40 km/h, and gusts up to 50 km/h.”
