IMD Predicts Fog conditions In Prayagraj Till January 20

New Delhi [India], January 18 : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted fog conditions over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and North Rajasthan on the morning of January 19, with dense fog observed this morning in these regions. In Prayagraj, where the Maha Kumbh is taking place, fog is expected to persist until January 20. The intensity of fog will decrease by January 20, and from January 21, rainfall is expected to intensify over the Western Himalayan region. The plains will see rainfall starting on January 22, which will continue through January 23. This weather will lead to rising temperatures and a reduction in fog conditions.

In Delhi, dense fog earlier disrupted visibility, affecting train and flight services. However, the air quality in the city has improved, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 248 this morning, falling under the “poor” category. The Commission for Air Quality Management has lifted certain restrictions as air quality has shown improvement.
