Abhishek Sharma, India’s explosive opener, has become the buzz of the cricket world after his amazing performance in the recently finished Asia Cup 2025. He scored 314 runs in seven games, including three scores of fifty or more, and had an incredible strike rate of almost 200. Suryakumar Yadav’s aggressive style and steady batting were two of the main reasons why India won the continental title.
Abhishek hit match-winning knocks throughout the tournament, save for the final against Pakistan, where he was out for just 5 runs. This made him the ICC’s No. 1 T20 batter.
But now that he is in such great shape, people across the border are getting angry. Ihsanullah, a fast bowler from Pakistan, is known for his blazing speed in the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL), when he threw a ball at 152.65 kmph. He has now challenged the Indian star.
In a video that went viral, Ihsanullah declared with confidence, “If I get to play against India, I will dismiss Abhishek Sharma in 3–6 balls.”

The Pakistani fast bowler has played for his country in both T20Is and ODIs, but he was hurt and couldn’t play. He seems anxious to make a good international comeback, and targeting India’s best batter could be his way of saying so.
Abhishek’s personal path to the top, on the other hand, has not been easy. He was on India’s U-19 World Cup-winning team in 2018, but it took him more than six years to make the senior national team. This is different from his peers Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill, who made their debuts quickly after the competition.

Abhishek talked about his slow climb and how he felt about not being fast-tracked into the national setup.
“Some go straight in. Some people do everything. So I thought I had to do it all. Abhishek Sharma, who is now known as the darling of India’s T20 team, stated, “If I had joined the team right away, I wouldn’t have had a chance to learn everything I did.”
Ihsanullah’s aggressive statements have already contributed to the antagonism as cricket fans wait for another exciting India vs. Pakistan match. With Abhishek feeling very sure of himself and Ihsanullah’s speed promising pyrotechnics, the fight between bat and ball could be one of the best parts of their upcoming match.
