Idols Of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, And Hanuman Installed On First Floor Of Ram Temple In Ayodhya

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: In a significant milestone for the ongoing construction of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Construction Committee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, announced on Friday that the idols of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman have departed from Jaipur and are being installed on the first floor of the Ram Temple today.

“The idols of Lord Ram, his brother Lakshman, Sitaji and Hanumanji have left from Jaipur and will be taken to the temple’s first floor today. Devotional programs will begin on June 3 and end on June 5… The construction of the main temple will be completed by then,” Mishra stated.

He further confirmed that the core construction of the temple will be finalised by early June, coinciding with the scheduled devotional events, and that all remaining construction is progressing well and will likely conclude by September–October.

“Preparations are complete, including essential works like waterproofing and repellency, which will continue as needed. However, the core construction of the main temple will be finalised, marking a historic milestone. The remaining construction within the temple premises is on track for completion by September-October, per the planned schedule. Key elements like the Parakota and the Peshavatar Temple are nearing completion. The Sapt Mandir, housing seven pavilions and statues of sages, is already finished. Additionally, the Pushkarni water reservoir at the centre has been completed. By the end of 2025, all construction projects initiated in 2020 are expected to be fully realised,” he added.

The Ram Mandir is being constructed in the traditional Nagara architectural style. The temple spans 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and rises to a height of 161 feet. The structure is supported by 392 intricately carved pillars and 44 ornate doors.

The temple’s pillars and walls are adorned with sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, narrating stories from ancient scriptures. The main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor houses the idol of Bhagwan Shri Ram in his childhood form (Shri Ram Lalla).

Following the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Ayodhya has seen an unprecedented influx of devotees. Daily visits to the Hanumangarhi Temple and the newly built Ram Mandir have surged, reflecting deep public devotion and enthusiasm surrounding this sacred site.
