New Delhi [India], January 20: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour has successfully concluded its leg in England, generating excitement for the tournament’s upcoming ninth edition, set to be held in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from February 19 to March 9, as per an ICC release.
During the England leg, the trophy made a return to The Oval, the venue of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final, where Pakistan emerged victorious. This iconic location provided a nostalgic setting for England wicketkeeper Jamie Smith, who is gearing up for his first Champions Trophy. Smith shared his excitement about competing in Pakistan and England’s ambitions for the tournament.
The trophy also visited some of London’s most famous landmarks, including Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, and Borough Market. These stops highlighted the link between cricket’s global heritage and England’s rich cultural icons.
The England leg follows successful tours in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, marking another significant milestone in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour, in partnership with DP World.
Next, the trophy will travel to India, where it will be showcased across key locations, including Mumbai and Bangalore, engaging fans with a series of events.
