On Sunday night, Israeli Air Force fighter jets conducted targeted strikes on an underground tunnel in Lebanon’s Bekaa region, which the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified as a key weapons transfer route for Hezbollah between Syria and Lebanon.
According to the IDF, this tunnel had been previously attacked and was targeted again to prevent its restoration and future use by Hezbollah.
Additional Hezbollah Targets Struck
In addition to the tunnel, several other Hezbollah sites were also attacked, including weapons storage facilities and launchers that posed an immediate threat to Israel.
The IDF emphasized that the targets struck violated ceasefire agreements between Israel and Lebanon. Israel has reaffirmed its commitment to preventing Hezbollah’s military buildup and ensuring regional security.
