Pathankot (Punjab) [India], June 13: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Apache attack helicopter made a precautionary landing near Pathankot in Punjab on Friday due to technical concerns, IAF officials confirmed.
According to the IAF, technical checks were promptly conducted at the site, and after the helicopter was deemed fit to fly, it safely returned to base.
“After conducting necessary checks and ascertaining it to be serviceable, the helicopter was flown back to base,” the IAF wrote in a post on X.
Similar Incidents Reported Recently
This incident comes just a week after another Apache helicopter made a precautionary landing near Saharanpur during a routine training sortie. In April, an IAF Chetak helicopter also landed as a precaution near Jamnagar, Gujarat, while on a routine mission. In both cases, the aircraft returned safely to their respective bases after thorough inspections.
IAF officials emphasized that no damage or injury occurred in any of these incidents, and all such landings were standard safety procedures.
