“I Want To Be An IAS Officer,” Says CBSE Topper Savi Jain

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 examination results, with a national pass percentage of 88.39%, marking a 0.41% increase from last year.

Among the top achievers is Savi Jain, a student of Scottish International School in Shamli, who scored an impressive 499 out of 500 marks, becoming the national topper. She has set her sights on the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Speaking to media on Wednesday, Savi said,
“I am very happy. Everyone is happy. My family and my teachers are very happy. I had five subjects: history, geography, political science, English, and painting. I scored full marks in four subjects.”

She described her preparation routine, stating,
“I used to do self-study for 4-5 hours.”

Sharing her career goal, she added,
“I want to join the civil services as an IAS.”

On Tuesday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla congratulated students who passed the CBSE Class X and XII examinations. In a post on X, he emphasized the role of dedication and discipline in academic success:
“Heartiest congratulations to all students who have cleared the CBSE Class X and XII examinations. Your success reflects sincere effort, discipline, and focus.”

The CBSE Class 10 exams were held from February 15 to March 18, while the Class 12 exams concluded on April 4. The Class 10 pass percentage stood at 93.66%, with 88.39% of Class 12 students clearing the exam.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his congratulations and addressed those feeling disheartened by their results:
“One exam cannot define you.”

This year, 91% of girls passed the CBSE Class 12 exams, outperforming boys by 5.94%. Similarly, 95% of girls cleared Class 10, 2.37% higher than boys.

In total, 22,38,827 students appeared for the CBSE exams, with 20,95,467 students passing. The results reflect not only academic excellence but also the growing aspirations of young achievers like Savi Jain.
