‘I Fainted On Set’: Ashnoor Kaur Recalls Working 30-Hour Shifts At Six, Battling Body Image Issues

MUMBAI – Ashnoor Kaur, a TV actress who started her profession when she was only four years old, has talked about the hard things she went through as a child actor, like working long hours and having problems with her body image. Kaur, who is now on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 19, talked to Hauterrfly recently about her horrific experiences in the profession when she first started out.

Kaur, who has been on several popular shows like Jhansi Ki Rani, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Patiala Babes, stated that because she is famous now, she can work conventional 12-hour shifts. But things were very different when she was a child.

“I’ve shot for 30 hours straight,” she said, remembering when she was six years old and on the show Shobha Somnath Ki. “I was so weary that I couldn’t do anything. My mom told me to take a snooze in the vanity for a few hours. The production crew waited outside while I napped for safety, and then I started again.

The actress also admitted that she had serious body image problems during her career, which made her do unsafe and outrageous things. “I went on a strict water-only diet to get ready for my show,” she said. The strict diet had a very bad effect on her health. “I fainted on set once, but I didn’t tell anyone I wasn’t eating,” she said.

Ashnoor Kaur is not the first famous person on TV to talk about how hard it is to work in the profession. Shweta Tiwari, Hiten Tejwani, and Krystle D’Souza are just a few other well-known performers who have talked about how they have worked for more than 48 hours straight and even passed out on set from being too tired.

Ashnoor Kaur’s career started in 2009 with the movie Jhansi Ki Rani. She gained famous immediately as a kid actress, and then from 2018 to 2020, she was the star of Patiala Babes, which made her a household name. She has also had small roles in Bollywood movies like Sanju and Manmarziyaan. Her current role on Bigg Boss 19, which started on August 24, has brought her tale to a larger audience and shown the challenges that are frequently hidden beneath the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry.
