Hyderabad (Telangana) [India] : Excitement is mounting in Hyderabad as the city prepares to host the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant on May 31, 2025. The international event, set to be held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, will see contestants from over 100 countries competing for the coveted crown.
Among the first delegates to arrive in the city were Jessica Scandiuzzi Pedroso from Brazil and Emma Deanna Cathryn Morrison from Canada. Both were greeted with warmth and traditional hospitality by Telangana state government officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).
This marks the second consecutive year India is hosting the prestigious pageant, making it a proud moment for the nation. The reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, will pass on the crown at the grand finale.
India will be represented by Nandini Gupta, Femina Miss India World 2023, from Kota, Rajasthan. She has begun an intense training schedule in preparation for the global competition and is focused on making her country proud. Speaking to ANI, Nandini said, “I am training rigorously to shine on the world stage. Every day, I am learning a lot about Telangana, Hyderabad, and what the city has to offer.”
She also emphasized the significance of hosting Miss World in Telangana, citing its potential to enhance tourism, boost the local economy, and highlight the region’s cultural richness. “Miss World is happening in India for the second consecutive time, and it is a moment of pride,” she added.
Earlier this year, Miss World 2023 Krystyna Pyszkova and Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization, visited Hyderabad to oversee event preparations. Pyszkova expressed her admiration for India’s vibrant culture and looked forward to another memorable edition.
“I love the Indian sparkle that the last edition had, and it will be just amazing this time as well. India has a lot to offer, and I’m looking forward to experiencing it all,” she shared.
With global attention turning to Hyderabad, the city is ready to shine on the world stage.
