Hulu Announces Premiere Window For ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ Season 2 With Nicole Kidman In The Lead

Washington DC [US], March 26: The highly anticipated second season of Nine Perfect Strangers is set to premiere this spring on the OTT platform Hulu, as announced by the streaming service. The eight-episode season will transport viewers to a new, stunning location—the Austrian Alps—after the first season was set in the fictional town of Cabrillo, California.

As per the official logline of the show, “Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru, Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman), to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.”

Joining Nicole Kidman in the second season are previously announced cast members, including Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong, and Aras Aydin.

Nine Perfect Strangers began as a limited series in September 2021 and quickly became Hulu’s most-watched original series, surpassing all other drama, comedy, limited series, and unscripted shows on its premiere day as well as after five days on the platform, according to Deadline.

The show is created by David E. Kelley and produced by Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films, and Fifth Season, which also handles distribution for the series. The executive producers include Kelley, Kidman, Per Saari, Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, Molly Allen, Jonathan Levine, Rachel Shukert, Liane Moriarty, Matthew Tinker, Anthony Byrne, and JH Butterworth.

In related news, Nicole Kidman recently shared that she plans to take a break for a year after a busy period working on multiple projects. At the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas, Kidman admitted that after a jam-packed year with The Expats, A Family Affair, The Perfect Couple, Spellbound, Babygirl, and season two of Lioness, she’s ready for some rest. “I was much more out there last year; this year I have Holland, I have Nine Perfect Strangers, and then I’m off for the rest of the year,” she said.

In Holland, a mystery thriller premiered at SXSW, Kidman plays a teacher in a small Midwestern town in Michigan. Her character, suspicious of her husband (Matthew Macfadyen) living a double life, teams up with her friend (Gael Garcia Bernal) to investigate and uncover a twisted secret.
