1) MGNREGA replaced by Viksit Bharat scheme

Lok Sabha passed the Viksit Bharat Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin Bill replacing MGNREGA. The law raises guaranteed rural work to one hundred twenty five days yearly. It introduces new centre state funding rules with special support for Himalayan regions. States must notify aligned schemes within six months nationwide rollout.

2) Delhi tightens vehicle entry rules

Delhi enforced a strict ban on entry of out of state vehicles below BS six norms as pollution stayed severe. Police teams stopped non compliant vehicles at borders. Only BS six CNG and electric vehicles entered. AQI hovered near four hundred. Enforcement gaps at petrol pumps raised concern. Citywide alarm.

3) PM Modi addresses Indian community in Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two day official visit to Oman. He will address the Indian community in Muscat at the Exhibition Centre. Thousands gathered to welcome him. Sons of jailed former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan voiced fear they may never see him again. Speaking to Sky News they alleged psychological torture and prolonged solitary confinement in Adiala jail. They cited isolation filthy water power cuts. Protests outside jail saw police action as government denied wrongdoing claims.
