High-Level Israeli Business Delegation Concludes Historic Visit to India

Tel Aviv (Israel), February 12 : A high-level business delegation from Israel, led by Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat, has concluded a two-day visit to India. This marks the largest delegation of its kind, comprising over 100 Israeli CEOs from various sectors including healthcare, cyber, homeland security (HLS), energy, automotive, retail, logistics, and high-tech industries.

The delegation’s agenda was filled with high-level meetings with Indian business leaders, policymakers, and industry-specific discussions. They also engaged in site visits to explore opportunities in key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, fintech, MedTech, agritech, renewable energy, and cybersecurity.

One of the key highlights of the visit was the meeting between the Israeli delegation and India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal. Minister Nir Barkat emphasized that this delegation represented more than just business dealings. “This historic delegation marks a new era of economic collaboration between Israel and India. We are here not just to do business, but to forge lasting strategic partnerships that will drive mutual growth,” he said. Barkat further expressed confidence that both countries could turn their opportunities into success stories, leading to a more prosperous future for both nations.

Israel and India have a long-standing history of cooperation in various fields, including agriculture, defense, water technology, and high-tech industries. This recent visit aims to elevate that relationship to new economic heights.

The delegation’s significant size and diverse profile reflects an unprecedented Israeli interest in the Indian economy, according to Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar. He further highlighted that India’s rise as a global power presents numerous opportunities for Israel, not just as a market, but also as a key partner for production and a vital link in the global supply chain.

This visit is expected to open the door for expanded business collaborations and partnerships, particularly in hi-tech, innovation, and infrastructure, marking a crucial step towards strengthening ties between the two countries.
