New Delhi [India], April 4: The Indian film industry mourns the loss of veteran actor Manoj Kumar, who passed away at 87 after a prolonged illness. Known as “Bharat Kumar”, he was celebrated for his patriotic films, which left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
Hema Malini Remembers Manoj Kumar
Speaking to ANI, actor and BJP MP Hema Malini expressed her sorrow:
💬 “All the films he made were deeply patriotic. He was always connected to the country, and he took great pride in his work.”
She fondly recalled their collaborations in films like Kranti, Sanyasi, and Dus Numbri, adding:
💬 “He was an expert at picturizing songs and presenting heroines beautifully. I feel lucky to have worked with such a visionary director and actor.”
Manoj Kumar’s Final Rites
🕊️ His son, Kunal Goswami, confirmed that the last rites will be held on April 5 at Pawan Hans in Vile Parle, Mumbai.
