Helicopter Crashes Near Airlake Airport In Minnesota, No Survivors Found

Sadly, no one survived the helicopter accident in a field near Airlake Airport in Lakeville, Minnesota, on Saturday afternoon. The Lakeville Police Department says that the crash happened around 2:45 p.m. local time and that a Robinson R66 helicopter went down in a non-residential area west of the airport.

When emergency crews got there, they saw that the plane was on fire. Officials said that no one on the ground was hurt. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) were told right away and have started looking into what caused the disaster.

An investigation is going on

An NTSB investigator was supposed to come on Sunday to carefully record the crash scene and look at the wreckage. The helicopter’s parts will be relocated to a safe place for more study. The NTSB said that the plane crashed “under unknown circumstances,” and a fire broke out when it hit the ground.

The most recent reports say that the number of people on board and their names have not yet been made public since their families have not yet been told. The Robinson R66 is a single-engine turbine helicopter with five seats. We don’t know how many people were on board when it crashed yet. Authorities have said that it would be a while before a full and final report on what caused the disaster comes out.
