Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 5 : Ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of spreading lies for political gains and being involved in corruption. The Delhi Assembly elections, expected to take place in February, are highly anticipated.
“Kejriwal is deeply involved in corruption and, just for the sake of votes, he speaks numerous lies,” Saini remarked. “The people of Delhi will teach him a lesson in the upcoming elections, and the BJP will form the government in Delhi.”
Saini’s comments came in response to Kejriwal’s suggestion that both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress should publicly announce a joint electoral contest against AAP. Saini further accused Kejriwal of inconsistency, claiming, “Kejriwal tried to form an alliance with Congress in Haryana, but he first criticizes them and then embraces them. He confuses the public, and whatever corruption Congress has done, Kejriwal has done it four times more.”
The Haryana CM also took aim at Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), who had claimed that there was no difference between BJP and AAP. “Owaisi is working in collusion with the Congress party,” Saini said. “Leaders like him and Kejriwal are two sides of the same coin.”
Owaisi had earlier stated that both BJP and AAP share similar ideologies, describing them as “lab-grown,” with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) being the “mother” of both parties.
Saini also took a jibe at former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav. “During the Samajwadi Party’s rule, lawlessness was rampant, with goons roaming freely. The SP government even protected them. But under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, all the criminals are in jail,” he said, highlighting the BJP government’s stance on law and order.
The Delhi Assembly elections are expected to be a significant political battleground as the BJP aims to challenge Kejriwal’s AAP-led government in the capital.
