Harvey Weinstein Responds To Adrien Brody’s Oscars Shoutout To His Children

Washington [US], March 5: Former film producer Harvey Weinstein has responded to actor Adrien Brody’s emotional shoutout to his children during his acceptance speech at the 2025 Academy Awards. Brody, who won the Best Actor award for his role in The Brutalist, took a moment during his speech to acknowledge Weinstein’s ex-wife, Georgina Chapman, and their two children, Dash and India.

In his heartfelt speech, Brody expressed gratitude to Chapman for her support, as well as to her children, saying, “I know this has been a rollercoaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy’s coming home a winner!” The moment touched on the challenges Chapman and her children have faced in recent years.

Weinstein, who is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for sex crimes, addressed the mention through a representative. According to People magazine, the statement conveyed Weinstein’s appreciation for the care his children are receiving. “Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be,” the representative stated.

Weinstein and Chapman were married from 2007 to 2018 and share two children. Since their separation, Chapman has been in a relationship with Brody, with the couple making public appearances together, including attending the Oscars.

Weinstein’s prison sentence has been fraught with legal controversies, including the overturning of his 2020 New York convictions in April 2024. He is currently awaiting a retrial and remains incarcerated due to his 2022 convictions for sex crimes in California.
