Gandhinagar (Gujarat): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Vejalpur Startup Festival 2.0, marking a significant step in fostering innovation at the legislative assembly level. The event was also graced by Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghavi, who joined the CM in touring the startup exhibition.
Speaking at the event, CM Patel highlighted how startups have become a defining identity of today’s youth, fueled by creative thinking, unique insights, and innovative ideas. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision has strengthened the startup ecosystem, helping young entrepreneurs take their ideas from ‘mind to market’.
Startups Driving Success and Innovation
CM Patel noted that Indian startups are achieving global success, with youth-led ventures making strides in space technology and various other sectors. He also lauded the growing participation of women entrepreneurs in the startup landscape.
“The Prime Minister has taken a pledge to build Viksit Bharat by harnessing the potential of the country’s youth. I am confident that Gujarat’s youth will play a significant role in realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Gujarat for Viksit Bharat,'” he said.
Vejalpur Startup Festival: A Launchpad for Entrepreneurs
Welcoming the attendees, Vejalpur MLA Amit Thakar reiterated PM Modi’s unwavering faith in India’s youth. He stated that the festival will serve as a catalyst for young entrepreneurs, helping them shape and propel their innovative ideas toward success.
The festival witnessed participation from over 1,000 startups and 4,500 individuals. A major highlight was the allocation of 42 complimentary stalls for startups to showcase their innovations. Live pitching and funding sessions provided direct investment opportunities, while over 50 industry experts offered mentorship and guidance.
The event featured investor interactions, startup pitching, expert-led mentorship sessions, keynote addresses, and a dynamic startup expo, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.
