Riyadh [Saudi Arabia], December 4: Three-time Grammy Award-winning musician Ricky Kej recently had the privilege of meeting French President Emmanuel Macron during a lunch organized in his honor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, Kej also shared a selfie with President Macron and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud.
In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Kej spoke about his visit to Riyadh, where he is attending the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) COP16. He is also working on a music video and documentary focused on land degradation and desertification to raise environmental awareness.
Kej recalled his meeting with President Macron, where they discussed collaborations between India and Saudi Arabia through music and culture. He also mentioned how the lunch was beautifully organized by the Saudi government and how he was introduced to Prince Badr.
The musician also took a moment to express his gratitude towards Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting him for elevating India’s global stature. Kej emphasized that Modi’s leadership has helped India gain visibility on the world stage, benefiting Indian artists like himself.
Kej shared a selfie with Macron and Prince Badr on social media, describing the moment as a memorable one and expressing admiration for Macron’s efforts to use arts as a tool for global unity.
Last year, Ricky Kej attended a banquet dinner hosted by President Macron in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Louvre Museum in France, where he shared similar sentiments of pride for his country’s growing global presence.
