Washington [US], April 25: The 83rd edition of the Golden Globe Awards will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel, the organisers announced on Thursday. Comedian Nikki Glaser is all set to return as host after a standout performance at the 2025 ceremony.
Glaser made history earlier this year as the first solo female host of the Golden Globes. Her sharp wit and fearless humour won over audiences and critics alike, earning her an invitation to host the ceremony for a second consecutive year.
Expressing her excitement, Glaser shared in a statement (via Variety), “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career. I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from ‘The White Lotus’ who will finally recognise my talent and cast me in Season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne praised Glaser’s impact on the show: “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humour and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
The nominations for the best in film and television for the year will be announced on December 8, with a full timeline for the awards season expected to follow.
The 2025 broadcast drew 9.3 million Live+Same Day viewers, slightly down from 2024 but still widely viewed as a successful show—much of which was credited to Glaser’s dynamic presence.
Dick Clark Productions continues to produce the event, which will stream live on CBS and Paramount+.
With the awards season calendar starting to take shape, the Golden Globes will precede several major ceremonies, including:
- Producers Guild Awards – February 28
- SAG Awards (32nd edition) – March 1 (to be broadcast on Netflix)
- Oscars (Academy Awards) – March 15 (televised on ABC)
The Golden Globes remain one of the most anticipated and watched award shows in Hollywood, celebrating excellence in both film and television.
