Giriraj Singh Highlights Bihar’s Development Under Modi Government, Optimistic For “Double Engine” Government In Upcoming Assembly Polls

Begusarai (Bihar) [India], February 23: Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh has praised the Narendra Modi government for its major development initiatives in Bihar and expressed confidence that the state will elect a “double-engine” government in the upcoming assembly elections later this year.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is a double-engine government here. Whatever development is visible in Bihar today is all because of PM Modi. We are certain that the double-engine government will continue and Bihar will see even more progress,” Giriraj Singh said while speaking to media persons.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bhagalpur on February 24, where he will release the 19th installment of the PM KISAN scheme. More than 9.7 crore farmers across the country will benefit from direct financial assistance totaling over Rs 21,500 crore.

PM Modi’s government launched the Central Sector Scheme for the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in February 2020, aimed at helping farmers collectively market and produce agricultural products. Singh highlighted that within five years, PM Modi’s commitment to supporting farmers has been realized, with the 10,000th FPO being formed as part of this program.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several initiatives in Bihar, including the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds in Motihari, which is part of the Rashtriya Gokul Mission. The centre will focus on cutting-edge IVF technology, the production of elite indigenous animals for breeding, and training farmers in modern reproductive technology.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the Milk Product Plant in Barauni, which is expected to support 3 lakh milk producers by creating an organized market for their produce.

In line with his commitment to improving infrastructure, PM Modi will also dedicate the doubling of the Warisaliganj – Nawada – Tilaiya rail section, worth over Rs 526 crore, as well as the Ismailpur – Rafiganj Road Over Bridge to the nation.

The ruling coalition in Bihar, comprising BJP and JD-U, continues to work together to boost development and infrastructure in the state.
