Georgia Voll Joins Australia Women’s Squad for Upcoming ODI Series Against New Zealand

Melbourne [Australia], December 10: Following a stellar debut series against India, Georgia Voll has been added to the Australia Women’s squad for their upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, as reported by ICC.

Voll made an impressive start to her international career, playing a key role in Australia’s dominant eight-wicket victory in the opening ODI, where she scored an unbeaten 46 to guide her team to a successful chase. She then followed up with a magnificent 101 off 87 balls in the second match, helping Australia post a total of 371/8—their third-highest ODI score in history—leading to a convincing 122-run win.

Veteran batter Beth Mooney praised Voll’s exceptional performances, noting that she has earned the attention of selectors with her seamless transition from domestic to international cricket. “She’s taken to it like a duck to water. Her experience in domestic cricket has helped her understand her game well, contributing to her smooth entry into the international stage,” Mooney said, as quoted by ICC.

Australia will play their final ODI against India on Wednesday before traveling to New Zealand. The three-match ODI series between Australia and New Zealand will commence on December 19, with the second and third matches scheduled for December 21 and 23. All matches will take place at Wellington’s Basin Reserve.
