Washington [US], June 1: Amazon has officially announced that Gen V Season 2 — the gritty spinoff of The Boys— will premiere on September 17, 2025, with its first three episodes. Subsequent episodes will drop weekly on Wednesdays, culminating in the season finale on October 22.
The upcoming season dives deeper into the fallout from Season 1, picking up as America adjusts to Homelander’s reign of fear. At Godolkin University, a new Dean — played by Hamish Linklater — promises a curriculum designed to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are hailed as heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to campus still reeling from the trauma and chaos they endured.
As tensions escalate between Humans and Supes both on and off campus, the group uncovers a secret program dating back to the university’s founding — one that could have devastating implications. Marie, it seems, may be more connected to it than anyone imagined.
Season 2 also addresses the real-life death of Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson. Perdomo tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. Amazon confirmed that his role would not be recast, and the storyline has been revised accordingly. In the teaser trailer, Andre’s father, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas), is seen demanding answers from Dean Cipher about his son’s mysterious disappearance at the hands of Vought.
Returning cast members include Jaz Sinclair (Marie Moreau), Lizze Broadway (Emma Meyer), Maddie Phillips (Cate Dunlap), London Thor and Derek Luh (Jordan Li), Asa Germann (Sam Riordan), and Sean Patrick Thomas (Polarity).
Gen V was co-created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. Fazekas returns as showrunner and executive producer, working alongside The Boys team including Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and others. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios, in partnership with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
