Gautam Adani On Son Jeet Adani’s Low-Key Wedding Plans During Maha Kumbh Visit

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, during his visit to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, shared details about his son Jeet Adani’s upcoming wedding to Diva Shah, daughter of Surat diamond merchant Jaimin Shah. Contrary to social media buzz, Adani emphasized that the February 7 ceremony will be a simple and traditional affair.

Wedding to Avoid Celebrity Glitz

Speaking to the media, Adani dismissed rumors of a star-studded event, saying,
“Jeet’s marriage is on 7th February. Our activities are like common people. His marriage will be very simple and with full traditional ways. Definitely not a ‘Maha Kumbh of celebrities’!”

Recent speculation had suggested a lavish wedding with global stars like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and even King Charles and the Pope in attendance. Social media chatter also claimed extravagant plans involving supercars, private jets, and chefs from 58 countries at an estimated cost of Rs 10,000 crore. Adani refuted these claims as baseless.

Traditional Celebrations in Ahmedabad

Adani confirmed the wedding will be a private, family-focused ceremony in Ahmedabad. Speaking after performing Ganga Aarti at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam, he said,
“My upbringing and our way of doing things are that of a common person from the working class. Jeet too is here for Maa Ganga’s blessings. The wedding will be a simple and traditional family affair.”

Adani visited the Maha Kumbh with his family, including his wife Dr. Priti Adani, sons Karan and Jeet, daughter-in-law Paridhi, and granddaughter Kaveri. They participated in Ganga Aarti, offered prayers at the Lete Hanuman Temple, and took part in the Mahaprasad Seva at ISKCON, where Adani is supporting the distribution of over one lakh free meals daily.

Praise for Maha Kumbh Arrangements

Adani described the Maha Kumbh as an “indescribable experience” and lauded the Modi and Yogi governments for their efforts in ensuring efficient policing, sanitation, and overall management of the event. He suggested the successful administration of the Mela be studied by management institutes and corporate houses.
