Lady Gaga And Bruno Mars To Pay Tribute To Los Angeles Wildfire Victims At Grammy Awards

Singers Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will pay a special tribute to those affected by the recent wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles at the upcoming edition of the Grammy Awards.

On Friday, The Recording Academy announced the new performers, revealing that the “Die With a Smile” collaborators would dedicate their Grammy performance to the people of Los Angeles, according to Variety.

This heartfelt performance comes on the back of two Grammy nominations for their collaboration, “Die With a Smile,” including Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The ballad, which was released in August 2024, became a massive hit for the duo, topping the Billboard Hot 100 and dominating streaming platforms.

Earlier this week, Gaga made a special appearance at FireAid, a charity event held in Los Angeles to raise donations for wildfire relief efforts. She closed the evening by performing three songs, including her chart-topping hit “Shallow”, “Always Remember Us This Way”, and a brand-new song titled “All I Need Is Time”. The song was written by Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, specifically for the event.

In an emotional moment during her performance, Gaga shared her thoughts with the crowd, saying, “When I was thinking about what to sing tonight, I thought I’d do something hopeful for you, and I was thinking about my songs and nothing seemed quite right. So me and my friend Michael, my fiancé, my love, we wrote this song for you. It’s just for tonight, it’s just for you. I think we all need a lot of things right now, but I think something we also may need is time. Time is a healer.”

The Los Angeles wildfires have caused widespread devastation, with thousands of homes, including those of several high-profile celebrities like Jeff Bridges, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, and Billy Crystal, being destroyed. The upcoming tribute performance at the Grammy Awards will offer a moment of solidarity with those impacted by the disaster.
