Washington DC [US], March 12: Actor Gabriel Luna, best known for his role in Matador, has been cast in a recurring guest star role for The Terminal List Season 2, as reported by Variety. Luna will join the series alongside Chris Pratt, who returns as Navy SEAL James Reece in the Amazon Prime Video military thriller.
The first season of The Terminal List, which debuted in 2022, was based on the novel by Jack Carr. The upcoming second season will adapt Carr’s True Believer, the second installment in the James Reece book series.
Luna will portray Freddy Strain, a character described as a former Senior Chief of SEAL Team 6, now an officer with the CIA’s Ground Branch. Strain is portrayed as a man of two worlds, excelling as both an elite sniper and a dedicated family man. His belief that James Reece survived the events of Season 1 leads him to pull Reece out of hiding and back into action. While Reece shows Strain how desperate times may call for operating outside the lines, Strain’s commitment to family, country, and cause will help guide Reece on his redemption path.
Luna is also working on the upcoming Peacock series Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy and is set to appear in the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us. Additionally, he recently premiered his film The Astronaut at SXSW. Luna is known for his role in Terminator: Dark Fate and his portrayal of Robbie Reyes (Ghost Rider) in the ABC-Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Terminal List Season 2 is set to begin production in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, starring Taylor Kitsch, has already been filmed, though its premiere date remains unannounced.
