From Street Cricket To IPL Nets: ISPL Star Abhishek Kumar Dalhor Joins KKR As Net Bowler

New Delhi [India], April 9: In a remarkable leap from street tennis-ball cricket to the Indian Premier League (IPL), Abhishek Kumar Dalhor, star all-rounder of Majhi Mumbai, has been picked as a net bowler by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the ongoing IPL season.

Dalhor, who became the most expensive player in Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) history, carved his name into the hearts of fans with a stunning all-round display over two seasons. Representing Amitabh Bachchan-owned Majhi Mumbai, he played a crucial role in their Season 2 title win earlier this year.

In just 19 matches, the Ambala-born cricketer racked up 324 runs and snared 33 wickets, earning him the Player of the Tournament title in Season 1 and Best Bowler in Season 2, according to the ISPL press release.

Hailing from a middle-class background, Dalhor’s cricket journey began on the streets of Haryana, evolving from local tournaments to the national spotlight through ISPL—a platform that has redefined grassroots cricket in India. The league, known for its fast-paced T10 tennis-ball format, has rapidly emerged as a breeding ground for raw, untapped talent.

“Abhishek’s selection by KKR is a powerful testament to ISPL’s mission—transforming street cricketers into national icons,” the league stated.

Dalhor’s inclusion in the KKR setup reflects the league’s growing reputation as a legitimate pipeline for professional cricket. His selection is also expected to inspire many young talents across the country dreaming of similar breakthroughs.

As he trains with elite international cricketers under the KKR banner, fans and scouts alike will be watching closely—hoping that this rising star is only getting started.
