FOX Unveils Star-Studded Fall 2025 Lineup: ‘The Simpsons’ Returns, ‘Doc’ Enters Season Two

Los Angeles, US | July 29, 2025: FOX has officially announced its robust fall 2025 programming slate, packed with returning hits and exciting new additions, set to kick off its entertainment premieres in mid-September. The network is foregoing post-NFL premieres and two-hour openers, opting for a streamlined launch for its diverse lineup of dramas, comedies, animated series, and unscripted shows.

The medical drama ‘Doc,’ starring Molly Parker and Felicity Huffman, is slated for its second season premiere on Tuesday, September 23, at 9 PM ET/PT. It will follow the Season 2 premiere of the crime drama ‘Murder in a Small Town,’ which airs at 8 PM ET/PT.

Game show enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to, starting on Monday, September 15. Jane Krakowski hosts the return of ‘Celebrity Name That Tune’ for its fifth season at 8 PM ET/PT, followed by the series premiere of ‘Celebrity Weakest Link,’ hosted by Jane Lynch, at 9 PM ET/PT. On Wednesday, September 24, Rob Lowe’s popular game show ‘The Floor’ returns for its fourth season at 8 PM ET/PT, leading into the new competition series ’99 to Beat’ at 9 PM ET/PT.

Gordon Ramsay fans can mark their calendars for Thursday, September 25, with ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ returning for its 24th season at 8 PM ET/PT. Immediately following is the Season 4 premiere of the intense military training reality show, ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,’ at 9 PM ET/PT.

Sundays will continue to be a hub for FOX’s beloved animated series, with the “Animation Domination” block returning on September 28. Season 37 of the iconic ‘The Simpsons’ will premiere at 8 PM ET/PT, followed by the second season of ‘Universal Basic Guys’ at 8:30 PM ET/PT. ‘Krapopolis’ enters its third season at 9 PM ET/PT, and ‘Bob’s Burgers’ will debut its 16th season at 9:30 PM ET/PT.

While many key dates have been confirmed, FOX also has a series of other highly anticipated shows slated for a fall premiere with dates yet to be announced. These include the dramas ‘Memory of a Killer’ and ‘The Faithful,’ the one-hour comedy ‘Best Medicine,’ and half-hour comedies such as ‘Animal Control,’ ‘Going Dutch,’ and ‘Grimsburg.’ The unscripted lineup awaiting dates includes ‘Beat Shazam,’ ‘Don’t Forget The Lyrics,’ ‘Extracted,’ ‘Fear Factor: The Next Chapter,’ ‘LEGO Masters,’ ‘Next Level Chef,’ ‘Next Level Baker,’ and fan-favorite ‘The Masked Singer.’

Looking further ahead, animated staples ‘Family Guy’ and ‘American Dad!’ have been scheduled for 2026 premieres, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. ‘American Dad!’ which is approaching its 400th episode milestone, originally launched in 2005, later moved to TBS in 2014, and is now returning to FOX. Meanwhile, ‘Family Guy’ enthusiasts can anticipate exclusive specials heading to Hulu.
