New Delhi (India), July 29: In a significant boost to India’s global education landscape, four top-ranked foreign universities have received Letters of Intent to establish campuses in India. The announcement was made during the inaugural session of the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2025, held to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presided over the event as the chief guest.
The universities include:
- Victoria University (Australia) – Campus in Noida
- Western Sydney University (Australia) – Campus in Greater Noida
- La Trobe University (Australia) – Campus in Bengaluru
- University of Bristol (United Kingdom) – Campus in Mumbai
These institutions join a growing list of global universities entering India under the UGC 2023 regulation, which permits top 500 global universities to establish independent campuses in the country.
Growing International Footprint: India Now Hosts 13 Foreign Campuses
With this announcement, the total number of foreign universities that have established or are planning campuses in India has risen to 13, signaling strong momentum in India’s bid to become a global education hub.

Western Sydney University (Greater Noida)
- Undergraduate Courses: Business Analytics, Business Marketing
- Postgraduate Courses: MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Existing Collaborations: IISc, ICAR, AIIA, Ministry of Jal Shakti
Victoria University (Noida)
- Undergraduate Courses: Business, Data Science, Cybersecurity
- Postgraduate Courses: IT, Management

La Trobe University (Bengaluru)
