Delhi Police arrested four individuals and apprehended a juvenile in connection with the murder of 36-year-old Manoj in Naraina, officials reported on Monday.
The case has gained significant attention as one of the juveniles involved was also linked to the murder of Manoj’s younger brother, Pramod, a few months ago.
Arrested Individuals
The accused have been identified as:
- Md. Akhtar (62)
- Md. Maksood (49)
- Angoori (35)
- Juhi Khatoon (34), wife of Md. Maksood
Police are working to uncover the full sequence of events and to determine if others were involved in the conspiracy.
Previous Connections and Motive
Manoj, who was stabbed to death in a park on Saturday evening, had been a witness in the murder case of his younger brother, Pramod. According to police, a 15-year-old juvenile detained in Manoj’s case was also involved in Pramod’s murder.
Pramod’s wife revealed, “My husband saw a girl from our area with a boy and informed her parents. The boy, angered by this, killed my husband with a friend. Manoj was fighting the case in court and has now been murdered by the same boy.”
Protest by Family
Manoj’s family staged a protest in Naraina, blocking roads and demanding strict action against the accused.
Police Investigation
Delhi Police have so far detained three juveniles and arrested four adults in connection with the case. Speaking to media, DCP West Vichitra Veer said, “Efforts are being made to determine the motive behind Manoj’s murder. Interrogations are ongoing.”
