Former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Madan Mohan and his wife Sudeshwati joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday in the presence of AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
Sanjay Singh Welcomes Madan Mohan
Addressing the media, MP Sanjay Singh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the couple to AAP.
“It is a matter of great pleasure for AAP to have Madan Mohan and his wife join our party. Both his wife and him are strong partners, and their joining will make AAP stronger. I can say it with full confidence that AAP will win with a huge majority in the Palam Assembly constituency now. I want to congratulate both of them,” Singh said.
AAP Attracting Prominent Leaders
This marks another significant addition to AAP’s ranks, following the recent entry of former BSP Punjab unit president Jasvir Singh Garhi on January 1.
Speaking about his political journey, Garhi said:
“The dreams that Kanshi Ram Sahib and the revered Baba Sahib Ambedkar had for the Dalit community, backward classes, and minorities of this country were to capture the power of this country and to become the ruling community.”
Garhi expressed his discontent with his former party, stating that those strengthening the fight for social transformation and economic liberation were sidelined over the last 25 years.
“I had two options: either stay in the party and fight or start the fight for my Dalit brothers again through another party,” Garhi added.
Other Prominent Leaders Joining AAP
Earlier on December 6, Congress leader Surendra Pal Singh Bittu also joined AAP in the presence of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
