The Flipkart Big Billion Days sale that everyone was looking forward to has left people split, especially when it comes to the flagship iPhone 16 bargains. Even while word went widespread that the phone will be offered for as little as ₹51,999, just a tiny number of customers seem to have actually gotten the deal.
The deal officially started on September 23; however, Flipkart Plus members could start shopping at midnight on September 22. There was a lot of activity during this early window, and “iPhone 16” swiftly rose to the top of the trends on X.
A Chennai consumer named Aravind Jo was lucky enough to get an iPhone 16 and post a picture of it together with the bill on X. He was able to buy the phone for ₹52,497. He placed his order at 12:03 a.m. and got it just 20 minutes later. Another person, Shivam Yadav, also wrote about how he got his iPhone in just six minutes.
Anger and Orders That Were Canceled
But it looks like these success stories are the exception, not the rule. A lot of other people have used social media to vent their anger.
A person who used X said that the iPhone 16 Pro sold out in less than a minute. Some people said that their orders were put on hold even after they paid, while some consumers said that their iPhone 16 orders were cancelled without any reason. This has made a lot of people who were looking forward to the offer quite angry, and many are now wondering if the discounts were merely a way to get people to buy.
Did you try to buy an iPhone 16 during the sale? How was your experience?
