Fire Breaks Out In Multiple Shops At South Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar; Separate Blaze In Paschim Vihar Hotel

A fire broke out late Sunday night in multiple shops located in South Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar area. Fire officials reported that at least five fire tenders were deployed to quickly contain the blaze.

Fire Officer Manoj Kumar informed that the fire station received a call at 9:27 PM regarding a fire in three saree shops in Sarojini Nagar. The fire was brought under control swiftly, and no injuries were reported.

“We received a call at 9:27 PM. When we came here, we found a fire at three saree shops… Five fire tenders are on scene, and the fire is almost extinguished. No injuries are there,” Kumar told media.

The cause of the fire in Sarojini Nagar is yet to be determined.

Earlier on Sunday, a separate fire incident occurred at Hotel Savera in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area. Officials said six fire tenders were rushed to the spot after flames broke out in a room and a hall on the hotel’s third floor.

The building consists of a basement, ground floor, and three upper storeys. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported during the incident.

“Fire was in Hotel Savera in Paschim Vihar. It was in a room and a hall on the 3rd floor of the hotel. No casualty was involved. The building comprises a basement, ground, and three storeys,” DFS officials said.

Officials added that the firefighting operation was efficient, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the hotel. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
