A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in a 22-story residential building in Mumbai’s Goregaon area. The blaze started in a flat on the 11th floor and quickly spread to the 12th floor, though no injuries have been reported so far.
According to a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official, the fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. at the Vaishnav Height building on Rani Sati Marg in Goregaon East. The flames spread to cover an area of approximately 600 square feet on the floor above.
Eight fire engines and other emergency vehicles have been deployed to the scene and are actively engaged in dousing the fire. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
