FBI Foils Potential Terrorist Attack Planned For Halloween Weekend In Michigan

Washington, October 25: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has foiled a potential terrorist attack that was reportedly being planned in the US state of Michigan over the Halloween weekend, FBI Director Kash Patel announced on Friday.

Without disclosing specific details, Patel said on X (formerly Twitter) that FBI agents had arrested “multiple subjects” linked to the alleged plot.

“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” Patel wrote in his post.

The FBI chief added that further details about the investigation and the suspects would be shared later, as the case remains under review.

Meanwhile, the Dearborn Police Department confirmed that FBI operations had taken place in the city earlier on Friday.

“We want to assure our residents that there is no threat to the community at this time,” the police department said in a statement.

Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of the suspects or the nature of the alleged plot, but officials indicated that heightened vigilance remains in effect across Michigan ahead of Halloween celebrations.
