FBI Director Kash Patel Assures Justice After Arrest Of Terrorist Harpreet Singh

California [US]: FBI Director Kash Patel assured that justice will be done following the arrest of Harpreet Singh, a terrorist involved in multiple attacks in Punjab. The FBI Sacramento conducted a thorough investigation, in collaboration with Indian authorities, resulting in Singh’s capture.

Patel lauded the efforts of the FBI Sacramento and its partners, writing on X:

“CAPTURED: HARPREET SINGH, part of an alleged foreign terrorist gang here illegally in the United States, who we believe was involved in planning multiple attacks on police stations both in India and the United States.”

Singh was apprehended by the FBI and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) on April 17, 2025, in Sacramento, California. According to the FBI, Singh is linked to two international terrorist organizations and entered the U.S. illegally, using burner phones to avoid detection.

Patel emphasized the FBI’s continued dedication to tracking down those responsible for violence, regardless of their location, stating:

“The FBI will continue finding those who perpetrate violence — no matter where they are.”

Cooperation Between US and India

Singh, also known as Happy Passia, is a key member of the ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), a Sikh extremist group. Singh is closely associated with Rinda, a Pakistan-based terrorist. According to the Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, Singh’s arrest marks a “major milestone” in the fight against terror networks backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

In his statement, DGP Yadav noted:

“The arrest of Harpreet Singh alias Happy Passia… is a major milestone in the sustained crackdown on ISI-backed terror networks.”

Between 2023 and 2025, Singh played a central role in orchestrating targeted killings, grenade attacks, and extortion in Punjab and other states of India. The arrest followed excellent international cooperation and an exchange of information between the United States and India.

This operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts of both nations to combat terrorism and disrupt international terror networks.
