Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 14: The excitement surrounding Fawad Khan’s Bollywood comeback has reached a fever pitch with the release of the first song from his upcoming film ‘Abir Gulaal’, co-starring Vaani Kapoor.
On Monday, the makers unveiled the romantic track ‘Khudaya Ishq’, sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao, with soulful music composed by Amit Trivedi and heartfelt lyrics by Kumaar.
“Creating the music for Abir Gulaal has been a truly enriching journey. This first song beautifully blends Kumaar’s words with the voices of Arijit and Shilpa. It’s a melody woven with emotion,” said Amit Trivedi in a press release.
Fans were treated to the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Fawad and Vaani in the song, which showcases intimate and emotional moments between the two characters.

Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, Abir Gulaal tells the story of two emotionally scarred individuals who find solace and love in each other in the most unexpected way.
The teaser, released on April 1, offered a glimpse into their tender relationship — including a rain-soaked car scene where flirtation meets vulnerability.
Vaani asks, “Are you flirting with me?” to which Fawad replies, “Do you want me to?” — a line that’s already melting hearts online.
The teaser ends with a poignant message: “Bringing love back.”
Produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy, the film marks Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood after nearly nine years, following the unofficial ban on Pakistani artists post the 2016 Uri Attack. His last appearance in a Hindi film was in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016).
Fawad rose to fame in India with the hit Pakistani drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012) and went on to star in Bollywood hits like Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor & Sons (2016).
