Father Of Tennis Coach Radhika Yadav Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody; Siddaramaiah Rebuts BJP’s ‘Humiliation’ Charge

In a deeply disturbing development, a Gurugram court on Saturday sent 51-year-old Deepak Yadav to 14 days of judicial custody for the cold-blooded murder of his daughter, Radhika Yadav, a promising 25-year-old tennis player and coach.

Radhika was allegedly shot four times in the back while she was cooking breakfast at their home in Sushant Lok-2 around 10:30 AM on Thursday. She succumbed to her injuries on the spot. The murder weapon, believed to be a licensed revolver, was recovered by Gurugram police.

Deepak was initially remanded to one-day police custody for interrogation. According to Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar, the accused admitted during questioning that the murder was premeditated.

“He planned the murder and executed it while his daughter was alone in the kitchen,” the police PRO confirmed.

The incident has shocked the local tennis community and triggered outrage online, with many demanding stricter gun control and psychological profiling of firearm licence holders.

Delhi: Siddaramaiah Responds to BJP’s ‘Rahul Gandhi Snub’ Claim

Meanwhile, in a political turn of events, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah refuted BJP’s allegation that he was “humiliated” by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.

BJP’s Amit Malviya had earlier posted on X claiming Rahul Gandhi denied Siddaramaiah an appointment, suggesting internal rifts in the Congress.

“My primary work in Delhi was to meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss Mysuru’s Dasara Air Show,” Siddaramaiah clarified.

In a pointed reply on X, the CM emphasized Rahul Gandhi’s strong emotional and political ties with Karnataka, recalling how Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi represented the state in Parliament, and adding that AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge is himself a proud Kannadiga.

Siddaramaiah also accused the BJP of betraying Karnataka by withholding central funds, further intensifying the political sparring.

Summary:
As Gurugram reels from the gruesome murder of a young tennis star, Karnataka is witnessing a war of words between BJP and Congress over claims of internal friction. Both stories reflect the intense emotional and political undercurrents shaping India’s current headlines.
