FARIDABAD – Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the horrific gang-rape of a 25-year-old woman that occurred on the night of December 30, 2025. On Thursday, January 8, 2026, Faridabad police confirmed that the victim successfully identified both accused during a Test Identification Parade (TIP).
The identification took place on Wednesday in the presence of a duty magistrate at the judicial facility where the suspects are currently being held. This identification is considered a critical piece of evidence as the police prepare to move the case toward trial.
Key Details of the Crime
The incident, which has sparked massive public outrage in the Delhi-NCR region, involved a betrayal of trust involving an emergency vehicle.
- The Trap: The victim, a mother of three, was waiting for transport near Metro Chowk after visiting a friend. She accepted a lift from two men in what she believed was a safe vehicle—a private hospital ambulance.
- The Assault: Instead of taking her home, the men allegedly locked the vehicle and drove toward a hilly area in Gurugram. They sexually assaulted her inside the moving ambulance throughout the night.
- The Injury: At approximately 3:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, the accused threw the woman out of the speeding vehicle near Raja Chowk. She sustained severe fractures to her right shoulder and deep facial wounds, including a broken eye socket.
- The Recovery: The woman managed to contact her sister, who rushed her to the hospital. She was discharged this past Tuesday after undergoing reconstructive surgery on her face.
