Mumbai: Actor Farhan Akhtar’s highly anticipated film, 120 Bahadur, has officially announced its release date—November 21, 2025. The film, set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China War, pays tribute to Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, drawing inspiration from the legendary Battle of Rezang La.
Farhan will take on the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC, a hero of the battle, which is remembered for the courage and selflessness of Indian soldiers who fought against overwhelming odds during the war. The film’s first poster, shared by Farhan in September, features a soldier standing on a rocky terrain, presumably portraying Major Singh, in the snow-covered landscapes of Ladakh.
The film is directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Excel Entertainment. In his Instagram post, Farhan expressed his deep gratitude to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this powerful story of valor to the screen.
“What they accomplished will never be forgotten. It is an absolute privilege to bring you the story of Maj Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment,” he wrote. “We are grateful to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this incredible tale of valour to the screen. We embark today to make this film in all humility and with utmost respect to those we represent.”
Meanwhile, Farhan is also working on the highly anticipated Don 3, where Ranveer Singh takes over the iconic role of Don, previously played by Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. The announcement of Don 3 was made in August 2023, with a teaser introducing Ranveer Singh’s dapper portrayal of the character, signaling an exciting new chapter in the hit franchise.
