“Sindoor Is a Tribute to Women”: Kunal Ganbote
Kunal Ganbote, son of victim Kaustabh Ganbote, also lauded the action and offered a touching interpretation of the operation’s name.
“We all were waiting for such action… I believe naming the operation ‘Sindoor’ is a mark of respect for women like my mother,” he said.
Operation Sindoor: India’s Deepest Strike in Decades
Operation Sindoor, executed in the early hours of May 7, saw the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force jointly target nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoJK. The strikes were in direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, injuring several more.
According to sources, the strikes focused on locations used by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leadership in Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, as well as five camps in PoJK. All strikes were described as precise and successful.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was closely monitoring the operation throughout the night, underscoring the mission’s significance at the highest level of government.
International and Diplomatic Support
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reiterated India’s global stance, declaring on X:
“The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism.”
The Indian government has clarified that no Pakistani military installations were targeted, emphasizing the focused and non-escalatory nature of the mission.
Conclusion:
As the nation unites in grief and resolve, the voices of victims’ families highlight how Operation Sindoor has gone beyond military strategy—offering emotional closure, reaffirming national strength, and reinforcing faith in justice for those who lost loved ones to terror.
