Faissal Khan Accuses Brother Aamir Khan Of Misusing Power, Alleges “Torture” And “Jealousy”

Mumbai, India – Actor Faissal Khan, the estranged brother of superstar Aamir Khan, has reignited a long-standing family feud with a series of explosive new claims. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Faissal alleged that his family, including his brother Aamir, had kept him under house arrest, forcibly medicated him, and labeled him as “mad.” He has now accused Aamir of leveraging his power and influence to pressure him into giving up his signatory rights, a move he says would have stripped him of all his rights as an individual.

Faissal claimed that the “torture” began around 2003, and escalated in 2005 when Aamir, accompanied by the police and a doctor, allegedly forced him into a nursing home and put him on medication against his will. “In 2007, he wanted my signatory right… And that would have made me zero as a human being. Giving up your signatory rights is losing all your rights,” Faissal stated. He said this was the final straw that led him to leave the house and fight his family, including cutting all ties to “safeguard” himself and his “dignity.”

In a separate press conference, Faissal also made the sensational claim that Aamir had an extramarital affair with British journalist Jessica Hines while he was still married to his first wife, Reena Dutta, and that they had a child out of wedlock. Faissal has challenged Aamir to a DNA test to prove his claim.

Faissal, who worked with Aamir on the 2000 film Mela, also alleged that his superstar brother has always been jealous of him. He claimed that Aamir had been unsupportive of his career from the beginning, even refusing to hear the script of Faissal’s first film, Madhosh (1994). Faissal asserted that his performance in Mela was appreciated more than Aamir’s, which he believes triggered a “sibling rivalry.” He further claimed that Aamir advised him to quit acting after the film. Faissal said that Aamir also refused to help him secure an OTT release for his 2021 directorial debut, Faactory.

Faissal has reiterated his belief that Aamir is being “brainwashed” and instigated by other family members. “Aamir’s fault is that he listened to the family and did whatever wrong he was told to do,” he said. Faissal expressed fear that his brother could again use his influence against him, citing Aamir’s “strong pull with the police and many other people with influence.”

In a joint statement issued earlier by the Khan family, they had expressed “distress” over Faissal’s “hurtful and misleading portrayal” of events. They maintained that all decisions regarding Faissal were made “collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals,” and were based on love and compassion for his “emotional and psychological wellbeing.”
